| Tools:
4liter bucket, shop vac , chamois , polishing cloth
, plenty of rags , scrub brush *bristle aprox 3 cm in
length*, scour pad |
| Interior-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Seats: cloth seat mix a 25ml of
gm multi wash into 2 liters of warm water , dip scrub
brush in to bucket and tap brush till brush is damp.
Apply a circular motion to scrubbing your chair headrest
and armrests .. repeating the application of soapy
water onto the scrub brush. After seat is complete
use your shop vac. on the seat making sure to go over
areas scrubbed
|
| Carpet--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Your carpets are very durable but its the lining
under it that must be maintained Use the same technique
as you use when cleaning your seats but leave your
brush more damp , * try not to wet carpet too much
the lining under will sop up the water and may cause
mildew* as soon as you are finished , use shop vac
and go over carpet area! Make sure to leave it as
dry as possible *USE THIS ONLY if you can store in
area that is heated over 25 C to allow for proper
drying*
|
| Dashboard--------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Key thing when cleaning your dashboard is to use
product that are non oil based this will attract the
sun and cause premature aging resulting in cracks
best way I've found is to use a clean damp rag and
simple dust the dash. For stains such as coffee use
a dap of soap but make sure to wipe away clean.
|
| Exterior------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Step one rinse exterior down first with a hose then
fill a bucket with water and apply proper amount of
gm multi wash . Saturate spung with soapy water and
use circular motion and wipe down your vehicle. Once
finished entire surface rinse with water *Avoid wahing
in direct sun light*.. Use chamois and dry off ...allow
time to dry completly before applying wax.
|
| Wax/Buffing------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
*BE
SURE you know if your car has paint sealant applied*
Using the GM Wax bottle apply a straight
line around 30 cm in length max to a panel on your
vehicle ,then take a folded CLEAN rag and in a circular
motion evenly rub out the line you just made .....
apply these same steps till each panel of the vehicle
has a coat of wax applied.* Some none painted bumpers
cant not be waxed, by doing so a residure will be
left and cause your bumper to look always dirty*
To remove the wax you need a few clean
rags and simply repeat same steps .. in a cirular
motion with the rag folded applying presure will help
heat the wax and cause a even coat of wax throughout
the panel. Continue to use same rag flipping it or
refolding it till it fills with wax then use a new
one.
Tip
: once you complete your wax job using the rag that
you used to remove the wax with wipe down the exterior
of your windshield this help the water bead and give
great vision * Do not apply wax direstly to windshield
*
Buffing/Power Waxing
This must be done by a professional you may attempt
to learn but the risk is burning your paint *just
a caution*
this helps repair paint loss by heating the paint
and wax fills the scratches this is the best way to
achieve a shine.
